Pete Bruinsma is an award-winning Realtor®, seasoned investor, and Broker/Owner of two respected West Michigan real estate companies: Grand River Realty (founded in 2017) and Life Cycle Property Management (2011). Pete is energized daily by the rewards of working with a diverse group of wonderful people in West Michigan in multiple capacities. His passion is fueled through creating relationships, genuinely helping and investing in people, and developing community.

Pete ranks among the Top 100 Realtors in West Michigan based on sales volume and homes sold (2021–2025). He’s been featured on the cover of Real Producers Magazine (June 2024), and recognized repeatedly as a Grand Rapids Magazine Real Estate All-Star, a “Best of the West” finalist, and a Small Broker Network “Caliber Award” recipient for over $10M in annual sales (2023–2025).

With a passion for historic homes, neighborhood revitalization, and thoughtful investing, Pete works with a wide range of clients—from first-time homebuyers to experienced investors and small business owners seeking their next space. He’s known for making the process transparent, human, and even fun.

Pete’s community involvement includes two terms on the Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission, and current service as Vice Chair of the GRAR DEI Taskforce. He’s also received GRAR Pinnacle Awards for Committee Service and Renovation of the Year. He served as Music Director of local nonprofit radio station WYCE for 12 years.

A proud resident of Heritage Hill, Pete enjoys Grand Rapids’ thriving music scene, food spots, and vibrant arts community. He spends weekends boating and relaxing on Muskegon Lake with his wife Elizabeth and their son Jacob.
