Pete Bruinsma is an award winning Realtor®, Top Producer, and Broker of two real estate companies in West Michigan.

Pete is energized daily by the rewards of working with a diverse group of wonderful people in West Michigan in multiple capacities. His passion is fueled through creating relationships, genuinely helping and investing in people, and developing community.

The bulk of Pete’s business is finding and selling homes for clients, large and small, with an added passion for historic homes. He is a seasoned investor and enjoys helping others achieve their investment goals while making the process as transparent and relatable as possible. He also enjoys finding new locations for small businesses.

Pete is a Top 100 Realtor out of 3500 agents in West Michigan based on sales volume and number of homes sold from 2021-2024. Pete founded Grand River Realty in 2017 and Life Cycle Property Management in 2011. He is currently a two-term Commissioner for the City of Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission, has been recognized as a top-3 finalist in Revue West Michigan’s “Best Realtor” voting each year since the inception of the BOTW category, and is annually recognized as a “Real Estate Allstar” by Grand Rapids Magazine. The June 2024 issue of Real Producers Magazine features Pete on the cover. Bruinsma currently sits on the DEI Taskforce at GRAR after multiple terms on both the Education taskforce and the Government Affairs Committee. Pete was recently recognized by his peers with two Pinnacle awards in the categories of “Committee Service” and “Renovation of the Year.” He was also recognized in 2023 and 2024 with a “Caliber Award” from the Small Broker Network for over $10 million in sales.

Pete lives in Heritage Hill and very much enjoys the restaurants, music community, nightlife, arts community, and overall vibrancy that Grand Rapids Michigan has to offer. His family includes a 6 year old son Jacob and his wife Elizabeth of 15 years. Pete loves to fish and relax on the beaches of Muskegon Lake, has been restoring a 1960 sailboat and learning how to sail.
